The invention relates to an apparatus for manipulating and storing a stack of baskets serving as containers and intended for products rolled up in the form of rings, characterised by a plate (9), which consists of a base (10), a cylinder (11) resisting the weight of the stack, and a gripping device (12), and by several cylindrical baskets (1) which consist of a bottom (2), a side wall (3) and a cylinder (4), the bottom (2) being provided underneath with a guide and centring device (6) which acts by superimposition and interacts with the top part of the cylinder (4) of the basket (1) lying directly underneath in the stack or with the top part of the cylinder (11) of the plate (9).
