PURPOSE:To enhance water resistance and adhesion to a base and obtain clear images, by providing an ink-receiving layer comprising a specified amount of a styrene-polyolefin copolymer and a specified amount of a thermoplastic resin. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of a base resin sheet is provided an ink-receiving layer constituted of a resin film having a composition of 20-80wt% of a styrene-polyolefin polymer (A) and 80-20wt% of a thermoplastic resin (B) having a melting point of not lower than 200 deg.C which is selected from a thermoplastic polyester, a polycarbonate, a polyamide and a polyphenylene oxide. Said polymer (A) is obtained by a method wherein 40-100pts.wt. of a vinyl monomer containing 30-100wt% of styrene is supplied into a suspended liquid prepared by dispersing 100pts.wt. of polyolefin particles into water, and the vinyl monomer is subjected to suspension polymerization. By using a composition of the polymer (A) and the thermoplastic resin (B) having a melting point higher than that of the polymer (A), water resistance of the film and adhesion of the film to the base can be enhanced, and clear images can be obtained. |
