PURPOSE:To make the sure discharging of lumped raw materials from the inside of a cylindrical body which is supported by a vertically movable suspending means possible in a device for supplying the raw materials in said cylindrical body into the crucible or the like of a pulling- up machine for semiconductor crystals by making the longitudinally split cylindrical pieces and bottom plates of the cylindrical body oscillatable. CONSTITUTION:The device is placed horizontally on a base and the openings on the top end side of cylindrical pieces 4a, 4b which are oscillatable by hinges 5 or bottom plates 6a, 6b which are oscillatable by hinges 7 are opened. After lumped raw materials are put into the cylinder through the openings on the bottom end side, the bottom plates are closed. While the cylindrical pieces and the bottom plates are held pressed so as to prevent their opening, a cylindrical body T is erected and when said body is suspended by connecting a suspending means 11 to a pulling up shaft or a wire 12, the wires 9a, 9b, and 8a, 8b are tensed to close the cylindrical pieces together with the bottom plates. This device is brought down into a pulling-up chamber 14. When the device is moved closer to the prescribed distance at the top surface of the residual melt 18 in the crucible 17 in a heating chamber 16, the bottom end of a stand 13 abuts on a stopper 15. When the wire 12 is brought downward further, the wires 9, 8 are loosened and the bottom plates are opened by the weight of the raw materials and the cylindrical pieces are opened as well, whereby the raw materials are discharged surely. |
