PURPOSE:To improve polarization characteristics by using the partial sulfonate of cobalt phthalocyanine as a catalyst to form an air pole used for an air cell or fuel cell. CONSTITUTION:The partial sulfonate of cobalt phthalocyanine such as Kayathrene brilliant blue 5GL, etc. is dissolved in the aqueous solution of hydrosulfite, and activated carbon, graphite and thermoplastic resin are mixed into this solution, then a carbon material heat-treated after extrusion molding is immersed it is. Next, after drying, the partial sulfonate of cobalt phthalocyanine is impregnated into the carbon material to form an air pole by oxidizing with hydrogen perioxide, etc. Accordingly, cobalt phthalocyanine with one sulfonic group or less is insoluble in water but is soluble in hydrosulfite solution, thereby the oxygen reducing capability is increased and polarization characteristics can be improved. |
