PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of processing of a corner, by determining the deflection of a wire electrode and the width of a processed groove in straight processing to calculate the deflection of the wire electrode in the tangential and radial directions in the processing of the corner to compensate the route of the processing. CONSTITUTION:When straight processing is finished, a processing power source SE is disconnected and processing feed is stopped. Consequently, a wire electrode P short-circuits to a workpiece W. The short circuit is found out by a detector COM. A table TA is moved in the opposite direction as to the route of the processing. The quantity of the movement of the table TA till the vanishment of the short circuit is found out by position detectors PCX, PCY. The quantity D of deflection of the wire electrode P is calculated from the quantity of the movement and the width of a tentatively processed groove. The quantity DT of tangential deflection of the electrode P and the quantity DR of radial deflection of the electrode in the processing of a corner are calculated from the quantity D of deflection. The route of processing of the corner is compensated by the quantities DT, DR of deflection to heighten the accuracy of the processing of the corner. |
