PURPOSE:To secure the quick response in the control of the position of an electrode for spark erosion, by providing an error counter which sends out the difference between the instructed and detected values of the position of the electrode and by adding the output of the counter to data used as a basis for the following instructed value of the position. CONSTITUTION:Sampling, calculation and holding are effected on an electric quantity representing the state of the discharge gap between an electrode 10 and a workpiece 12, to renew the instructed value of the position of the electrode in every prescribed time to control a speed servo system 18 which drives the electrode. Electrode position instructing data ZE are sent out from an electrode position instructing signal generator 14 in every prescribed time. A follow-up error Z sent out from an error counter 16 with regard to the preceding position instructing data ZE' is added to the data ZE. The sum of the added values is applied as an electrode position instructing value ZC to the error counter 16. |
