PURPOSE:To simplify a structure and to improve the assembly work efficiency by providing a feed/discharge passage of fuel and oxidizing agent gas to a current collecting member, insulating member and clamping fixture beneath laminated cells constituting a fuel cell to communicate with a manifold. CONSTITUTION:Current collecting members 2 and insulating members 3 are laminated above and beneath laminated cells 1 and they are united in one body by upper and lower clamping fixtures 5, 6 and a clamping rod 8, and a manifold 4 is fitted to the side of cells 1 through a gasket 7 to form a fuel cell. In addition, a gas passage 14 is formed to the current collecting member 2, insulating member 3 and clamping fixture 6 and is extracted outside by a pipeline 15, thereby fuel and oxidizing agent gas are fed into or discharge from the manifold 4. Accordingly, no pipeline is required between the manifold 4 and storage tank 9, thus the overall structure is made small-sized, the feed/discharge passage is simplified in structure and the assembly work efficiency can be improved. |
