摘要 PURPOSE:To increase the number of photodetectors to improve the measurement precision, by receiving the reflected light from an object through two optical paths and systems in an auto-focus camera or the like and converting the reflected light to electric signals and operating them to measure the distance. CONSTITUTION:Each of photodetector arrays 10 and 11 consists of n-number of photodetectors, and output differences between photodetectors are obtained in subtracting circuits SU11-SU1n, and outputs are inputted to multiplying circuits M11-M1n, and inputs are multiplied by weights corresponding to inputs and are outputted. These outputs are added in an adding circuit AD2 to obtain an output alpha. Outputs of photodetectors of the array 11 are added in an adding circuit AD3 to obtain a signal beta, and alpha/beta is operated in a dividing circuit DI1 to output an objective distance.
