SYNCHRONIZING DEVICE FOR GEAR CUTTING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To obtain synchronized rotation between a spindle for mounting a work and a hob spindle attached with a hob, in a gear cutting machine (gear hobbing machine in the main). CONSTITUTION:A work side transmission system A from a first gear 4 to a mounting spindle 15 is associated with a hob side transmission system B from a second shaft 30 carried by a hob saddle 38 to a hob 37 by means of a pair of constant velocity joints 27, 29. The constant velocity joints 27, 29 absorb a relative movement between the work side transmission system A and the hob side transmission system B due to the upward or downward gear cutting movement of the saddle 38 upon gear cutting, thereby the mounting spindle 15 and the hob spindle 36 are synchronously rotated.
