REMOTE CONTROLLING DEVICE

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain infrared signals having a sufficient directivity by inclining with a specific angle the center optical axis of an infrared LED and setting an infrared ray transmitting type optical filter approximately orthogonal to the center optical axis of the LED. CONSTITUTION:An infrared LED10 is set opposite to the optical filter 9 within a case 8 of a remote controller main body 7. This LED10 is inclined by an angle A toward this side from the front side of the parallel surfaces 8a and 8b which form the front and read sides of the case 8. The filter 9 is set approximately orthogonal to the center optical axis of the LED10. The angle A is set sufficiently smaller than the half angle value of the relative radiation intensity of the light distribution characteristics of the LED10. As a result, a sufficient optical output is obtained even in the direction parallel to the case 7. Thus the satisfactory sensitivity is secured even at the place right under the photodetecting part in case the main body 7 is set on the side wall. Furthermore the directivity is improved at every point of position since the optical output distribution exists in the advancing direction.
