PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of cracks at the bottom corner part of a low temperature-liquid storing tank, by constructing the part connecting the side wall to the bottom floor part of the tank with a steel-fiber reinforced concrete. CONSTITUTION:A steel-fiber reinforced concrete 2, obtained by mixing steel fibers with aggregate, is used in place of ordinary concrete at the bottom corner part 1 of a concrete tank where the possibility of causing rupture is highest, so as to increase the strength at the part 1 of the tank. Here, since the steel- fiber reinforced concrete is superior in its tensile, bending and shearing strengths as compared with the ordinary concrete and moreover has a very high toughness because of its particular rupture characteristics, it is enabled to prevent occurrence of cracks at the bottom corner part of a low temperature-liquid storing tank. |
