PURPOSE:To hold both legs temporarily by contacting them closely by a method in which the tip of a rod pivotally attached to a lower split leg is coupled with the eccentric shaft of an eccentric cam placed on the base seat of an upper split leg,and the eccentric cam is turned upwards through a lever. CONSTITUTION:The upper split leg 3a of two split legs manufactured in advance is vertically set on a platform 1, and then towed to a given sea area, together with the lower split leg 3b. Then, the lower split leg 3b is pulled up to the upside of the platform 1 and the upper split leg 3a is contacted with the lower split leg 3b. A hook at the tip of a rod 8 whose lower end is pivotally attached to the main pillar 3'b of the lower split leg is coupled with the eccentric shaft 11 of an eccentric cam 10 placed on the base seat 9 fixed to the main pillar 3'a of the upper split leg, and the eccentric cam 10 is upwardly turned through a lever 12, whereby both the legs 3a and 3b are closely contacted at their connection ends and held temporarily. |
