PURPOSE:To prevent a cross talk from being generated due to accumulation of heat between heating elements provided in a high density, by controlling the width of a driving pulse for each of heating element in accordance with the combined results of past records and present records on each of the heating elements and an adjacent one of the heating elements. CONSTITUTION:The past records on the heating element Hn in a group of resettable latches LB are stored in a D-type flip-flop LBn, while the present records are stored in a flip-flop LAn. A flip-flop SRn for the heating element Hn of a shift register SR and a flip-flop SRn+1 for the heating element Hn+1 are provided. In a timing chart for a gate output Gn and an adjacent gate output Gn+1 in periods tm-tm+3, the heating elements Hn records in the period tm, does not record in the period tm+1, does not record in the period tm+2, and records in the period tm+3. By providing a plurality of the latches LB for storing the past records and a plurality of gates, the driving circuit can be constructed in multiple blocks. |
