PURPOSE:To realize two pairs of magnetic heads which can independently record and reproduce video information, by making an arrangement that each pair of the two pairs magnetic heads alternately form successive oblique track loci aganst a running magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:When interlocking switches 11 and 12 are set to the contact R side, video heads A and A' act as recording heads. When the recording is made on a magnetic tape, a video signal is supplied to a recording circuit 15 from a terminal 22 and a recordable output is given to the heads A and A'. At this time, a recording output is given to the magnetic tape wound around a rotary drum 1 from the heads A and A' at the 1-field cycle. In this case, a recording track 6 of control signals is formed against the video informatin processed by one pair of heads A and A' to control the tracking at the time of reproduction. The video information processed by the other pair of video heads B and B' does not record any special control signals. |
