PURPOSE:To obtain a recording device which can erase at the same inclination as that of recording locus and gives the same effect as a flying erasing head does with a simple structure, by installing an erasing head which erases obliquely recorded loci to the surface of a guide body containing a rotary recording head. CONSTITUTION:When a tape 1 is fed in the direction shown by an arrow A and a central drum 7 is rotated in the direction shown by the other arrow B, each erasing head 11 starts the erasing at the same inclination as the direction of length of an obliquely recorded locus 15 using a video head 9, because each erasing head 11 is arranged on a plane which is parallel to the rotating plane of the video head 9. By overlapping the gap of each erasing head 11 by the width (d) of erased loci 13 as shown by broken lines 14, unerased parts can be eliminated. |
