PURPOSE:To increase coupling holding force by fitting the caulked part of the circumferential edge of an end plate to the opening edge of a cylindrical drum body and then carrying out caulking and extrusion successively, and thus forming a lock projection part at the worked part. CONSTITUTION:While the caulked part 7a and insertion hole 7b of a rear end plate 7 are fitted to the engagement projection 3 of a supporting base 1, the rear end plate 7 is mounted on a mount part 1a. Then, the rear opening edge 5b of a drum body 5 is fitted to the caulked part 7a of the rear end plate 7. Then, the engagement parts of the front and rear opening edges 5a and 5b of the drum body 5 and caulked parts 6a and 7a of the front and rear plates 6 and 7 are pretreated and caulked by work rollers 10 and 11. Then, the caulked parts are extruded by a processing roller 12 to form lock projections 13 and 14. |
