PURPOSE:To improve the adhesion of hot dipping, by depositing Al of solid soln. in an aluminum killed steel plate by annealing at a prescribed rate of AlN deposition then dissolving away the same thereby obviating concn. of Al in the steel onto the surface layer of the steel plate in the stage of reduction by heating. CONSTITUTION:An aluminum killed steel plate contg. 0.02-0.07% acid soluble Al in steel is subjected to batch annealing to allow Al of solid soln. to deposit as AlN and to immobilize the same. The rate of deposition of the AlN (rate of deposition of AlN= content of N as AlN/content of total N in the steel) is set at >=90%. The surface of the steel plate is pickled to remove the concd. Al layer in the surface layer of the steel plate. Thereafter the steel plate is reduced by heating and is plated in a hot dipping line. Thus the plating layer of good adhesion is obtd. |
