PURPOSE:To enable to stably intermittently communicate a thyristor starter by constructing to employ a pulse having narrow width for the firing pulse of a thyristor of a power inverter. CONSTITUTION:When any thyristor arm of a power converter is not energized even if a firing pulse A is applied to the thyristor arm 21 of a power inverter at the intermittently communicating time, the arm 21 is not fired, but the firing signal is held by a flip-flop 22. Accordingly, when a firing signal is subsequently applied to any thyristor arm of the power converter, the power inverter is effectively fired by a firing pulse C in synchronism with the firing of the power converter. In this manner, even if a pulse having narrow width is employed for the thyristor firing pulse of the power inverter, intermittently communicating operation can be stabilized. |
