A melting lamina for electrical fuses, a plurality of melting sections being constructed along the lamina by reducing the lamina cross-section by means of stamped-out recesses, between which current links are constructed which are set up at an acute angle with respect to the lamina longitudinal axis. As a result of alignment of the current links in such a manner that the opening sense of their setting-up angle with respect to the lamina longitudinal axis is opposed alternately from one melting section to the next melting section, it is made possible for a current lead to be interrupted in the case of an excess current or a short-circuit under the influence not only of the heating effect which is normally used but also under the influence of the mechanical stress effect which occurs at the same time.
