PURPOSE:To make it possible to prform a passing operation for the tiled lamp along with aerodynamic requirements by a method wherein a movable cover is removably fitted in a passing opening in the front surface of a lamp housing section and the cover is connected to a lid opening and closing device through a link mechanism. CONSTITUTION:When a head lamp 2 is housed within a head lamp housing section 1, a lid 3 is closed to cover the upper part of the housing section 1 and the passing opening 6 is covered with the light transmissive movable cover 20 so that the passing operation for the head lamp 2 is performed without increasing the resistance of air against the lamp 2. Next, when the head lamp 2 is used, a motor 4 is operated by turning a lighting switch ON whereupon a rod 17 is pushed upward by the rotation of a motor link 19 and the head lamp 2 is moved upward by a parallel link formed of a link arm 13 and the lid 3. At the same time, due to the rocking motion of the link arm 13, a quide pin 22 of the movable cover 20 is quided along a slit 23 and the movable cover 20 rocks downward about a pivot shaft 25 so that the entire surface of the lens of the head lamp 2 is exposed outside directly to thereby keep a sufficient amount of light irradiated from the lamp. |
