摘要 PURPOSE:To supply a wire material stably without causing entanglement by putting a carrier conveyor in operation specifically through the detection of the remaining amount of the wire material of a carrier in a top unwinding system for a coiled wire material wound around the carrier. CONSTITUTION:The majority of a wire material W around a carrier 1A is unwound and when its remaining amount reaches a set value, a photoelectron tube 10 detects that. By its signal, a conveyor 2 operates to move the carrier until the axial line of a guide 3 is positioned nearly in the middle of adjacent carriers 1A and 1B. At the same time, the guide 3 is elevated preferably from a position P0 to an upper set position PE, and the wire unwinding operation proceeds from the carrier 1A to the carrier 1B. Thus, the carriers 1A and 1B are put in wire unwinding operation under the same conditions and the possibility of causing entanglement is reduced. Once the wire material is all paid off from the carrier 1A, a timer is put in operation by the signal of the photoelectron tube 10 and the carrier 1B is aligned to the guide 3 a specific time later through the operation of the conveyor 2.
