JOINING METHOD FOR METALLIC MEMBER

PURPOSE:To obtain sound joined parts and to permit easy production of vanes having intricate cooling holes by joining a metal and an other member by interposing a thin layer of metal having a specific rate of elongation between the fayed surfaces of both members. CONSTITUTION:A thin layer of metal is interposed between a metallic part consisting of an alloy contg. at least one of Fe, Ni and Co as essential components and an another member. The thin layer of the metal has >=150% rate of elongation at the joining temp. and is joined under pressure at the temp. lower than the m.p. of the thin layer of metal. The foil or wire produced by a quick cooling method for molten metal by which the melt of the metal is cooled at >=10<4> deg.C/sec cooling rate or the wire or foil drawn from the thin sheet produced by using the alloy powder produced by an atomizing method and hot working the same after hot compaction is used for the thin layer of metal.
