PURPOSE:To control the exposure value, by deforming a temperature detecting member in response to the temperature of a phtoreceptor and therefore driving a light control mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A temperature detecting member 13 is provided near a photosensitive drum 11 and detects the temperature of the drum 11. The member 13 is made of a bimetal and bends in response to the temperature of the drum 11. An end 13a of the bimetal 13 is fixed, and the other end 13b is connected to a slit member 15 with a string 14. The member 15 is supported by a shaft 16. The string 14 is hooked to a direction converting shaft 17 and turns the member 15 in accordance with the bend of the bimetal 13. The member 15 controls the width of the light incident to the drum 11 with the bend of the bimetal 13 which is caused in response to the temperature of the drum 11. When the temperature of the drum 11 rises up, the slit width of the member 15 is decreased by an extent equivalent to the increment of the temperature of the drum 11. Then the exposure value is reduced. |
