PURPOSE:To prevent the stay of paper within an image recorder when a trouble occurs at a part that has no relation with the conveyance of paper, by avoiding the immediate stoppage of the working of the recorder and stopping the working of the recorder after the copying process is over. CONSTITUTION:When a trouble that has no relation with the conveyance of paper occurs, e.g., a heater thermistor of a fixing device has a disconnection, the working of an image recorder is stopped after the discharge of paper is over. In case a trouble occurs at a part related to the conveyance of paper, the conveyance of paper is continued as it is at the downstream side of the faulty area. Tien the recorder is totally stopped at a time point with the discharge of paper is over. For instance, if a paper jam occurs at a paper feeding part A due to the misfeed of paper, the paper feed process is stopped. However, the paper is conveyed as it is at a resist part B, a transfer part C and a fixing part D of the downstream side. Then the recorder is totally stopped after a copying process is over. |
