PURPOSE:To make it possible that a driver recognizes the current position on a new map without performing the operation specially, by displaying a bright point of the current traveling position automtically in accordance with the new map when an old map is switched to the new map. CONSTITUTION:Plural cartridge type microfilms of maps whose ranges are prescribed preliminarily are used and are projected onto a projection screen 8 by a map switching device 5. If a bright point indicating the current position is in the end of a display 9, it is discriminated by a coordinate comparing circuit 29, and a switching signal for a new map is issued from a map number selecting circuit 30, and a driver switches the map to the new map through a keyboard 33. It is discriminated in a map number discriminating circuit 31 and is reported to a correcting coordinate generating circuit 32. The circuit 32 performs the coordinate correction to display the traveling position in accordance with the new map. Thus, the driver recognizes the current position on the new map without performing the operation for the bright point or the like. |
