PURPOSE:To indicate several signal waveforms in different colors by setting the repeated cycle at 1/60-1/20sec in the sweep while pulse actions varied in the duration time are combined when a waveform observing apparatus is operated which uses a cathode ray tube having a fluorescent surface combining more than one type of phosphors different in color and afterglow time. CONSTITUTION:A phosphor layer B12 emitting orange light and a phosphor layer B16 emitting blue-violet light are provided on a fluorescent surface 13. The time is almot the same until the brightness excited by an electronic beam reaches the unsaturated value as that until it attenuates back to the original condition after the stoppage of the excitation. When the fluorescent surface is excited by a pulse 24 of 1/60-1/20sec, only the phosphor layer B16 faster in the rising is excited. When it is excited by the pulse of 1/20-1/500sec, it displays pink-violet mixed with the color of light by the phosphor layer B12. When applied for an oscilloscope, the fluorescent surface displays blue-violet for a higher speed of the sweep and pink violet for a lower speed thereof. Setting the repeated cycle at 1/60-1/20sec holds the reproduction of the color preventing flickers. In other modes, the signal display by a pulse action allows a bicolor indication of blue-violet and pink-violet. |
