PURPOSE:To keep a high precision for a long time, by using an XY quartz oscillator being a temperature proof readily as a reference time oscillation source and using an AT quartz oscillator as a correcting reference oscillation source for an aging error. CONSTITUTION:The signal from a low frequency oscillating circuit 1 is applied to a time counting circuit block 3 including a frequency dividing circuit 31 and a display driving circuit 32 through a correcting device 2 to drive a time display block 5. A temperature detector 4 sends a signal to an oscillation controlling circuit 7 and a comparing circuit 8 when the detector 4 detects a specified temperature, for example, 24-25 deg.C, and the controlling circuit 7 receives this signal to operate a high frequency oscillating circuit 6, and the comparing circuit 8 measures the deviation between frequencies of oscillating circuits 1 and 6 to generate the aging error information, and the correcting device 2 receives this error information to correct the signal of the oscillating circuit 1. Temperature information is sent directly from the detector 4 to the correcting device 2 to correct the temperature of the oscillating circuit 1. Consequently, the electronic clock is held at a high precision for a long time by the aging correcting function of the correcting device 2 and the temperature correcting function of the oscillator 1. |
