PURPOSE:To reduce the noise caused by combustion of fuel by allowing it to flow aproximately at right angles to the air flow at a velocity of less than that of the fuel. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection port 3 is located near a combustion plate 1 so that the fuel injected through the injection port 3 may flow along the combustion plate 1. In this case, if the flow velocity of fuel is higher than that of the air, then the air flow mixes with the fuel flow along the latter. Thus, the fuel mixes with the air near the combustion plate 1 without striking each other with little turbulence so that the flame 15 may be kept in a stationary condition. Further, a combustion chamber 10 is formed by an outer wall 9 having a cooling water pipe 8, the combustion plate 1 and a fuel supply pipe 2. Consequently, the flame temperature can be kept low and the amount of emission of NO, NOx can be reduced. |
