<p>A method of improving glasshouse insulation comprises partially covering the glass area of the glasshouse with an opaque thermally insulating panel provided on its inwardly facing side with a light- reflecting surface. Suitably, the or each panel has a dark surface facing to the outside of the glasshouse. Preferably, the light-reflecting surface (e.g. aluminium) is protected from loss of reflectivity in use by a transparent protective film which may be emissive to infra red radiation.</p> |
