发明名称 FLUORESCENT X-RAY ANALYZING METHOD FOR BOILER SCALE USING GLASS BEADS
摘要 PURPOSE:To analyze boiler scale accurately by oxidizing said scale in a quartz crucible, adding a fusing agent thereto, transferring the contents together into a platinum crucible, fusing the same by heating together with a release agent to convert the same to glass beads, measuring the intensity of the fluorescent X-rays thereof and using an inverse transformation method. CONSTITUTION:Boiler scale is sampled 11, is dried and ground 12, and is weighed into a quartz crucible 13. After the scale is oxidized 14 by adding nitric acid thereto, lithium tetraborate anhydride (fusing agent) is added thereto and the scale is subjected to a solid washing treatment 15. The contents are transferred into a platinum crucible 16 without allowing the same to remain in the crucible. Thereafter, KBr is added as a release agent and the scale is melted 17 by heating and is then cooled to make glass beads 18. The glass beads are subjected to fluorescent X-ray analysis 20, and the results thereof are quickly and accurately analyzed with the value obtd. by measuring the fluororescent X-ray intensity of pure glass beads 19 as a sample for a calibration curve by an inverse transformation method 21. The sticking to the crucibles 13, 14 is prevented and the scale is easily removed for quick analysis with high accuracy by the use of the specific fusing agent and release agent.
