PURPOSE:To provide a divalent silver oxide battery having less increase of internal resistance during storage using a positive electrode obtained by depositing lead dioxide on the surface of divalent silver oxide by immersing it in an alkaline solution obtained by dissolving lead oxide. CONSTITUTION:A molded body was immersed in a mixed solution having a volume ration of 9:1 of 30% potassium hydroxide and ethyl alcohol for 1hr to reduce an about 100mum thick surface of it to silver oxide. Then it was immersed in a solution obtained by dissolving 1g of lead oxide to 200ml of 30% potassium hydroxide solution for about 1hr to deposit lead dioxide on the surface of the molded body. The thickness of the lead dioxide layer was about 10mum. A battery was assembled using this molded body having the lead dioxide layer on its surface, that is, a positive electrode 1 was placed in a positive can 5 in which a part of an electrolyte was poured, then a separator 6 and an electrolyte absorber 7 were placed successively. |
