Device for the butt jointing of conveyor elements with one another with small clearances of motion, to be used in drift conveyors in coalmining for example. The device comprises a first part (50) on a conveyor element (12) with a connection element (40) attached thereto, a second part (20) on another conveyor element (11) with a reception device (27) for the connection element, a transverse aperture (28) connected to the reception device and a bolt (35) which engages with the reception device and the connection element. In one embodiment of the invention, the connection element leads into both parts (50, 20) and is held in place by appropriate bolts (35, 51) which engage with slots (41, 42) in the connection elements. <IMAGE>
