PURPOSE:To make it possible to print colorful complicated patterns at the bottom parts of embossed patterns, by transferring printing ink, which is applied to the surface of letter presses bonded to the outer surface of plate cylinder rolls, to an embossing roll, and performing the embossing treatment. CONSTITUTION:The letter presses 2 and 2' are bonded to the outer surfaces of the plate cylinder rolls 3 and 3', and the printing ink, which is applied on the surfaces of the letter presses, is transferred to the surface of the embossing roll 1. The embossing treatment of the surface of a synthetic resin sheet 7 is performed by the embossing roll 1. In addition to the concave and convex grain patterns formed by the embossing roll 1, the colorful patterns corresponding to the colors and patterns of the letter presses 2 and 2' of the plate cylinder rolls 3 and 3' are formed at the bottom parts of the concave and convex grain patterns. In this method, the bottom dyed embossed patterns having a light animated tone, shaded patterns, or watermarked patterns can be simply formed. |
