The subject-matter of the invention is improvements to a high-voltage switch having at least one vacuum switching tube. The latter contains a deflection drive having a control rod for transmitting the force of a drive to a contact rod which is connected to the moving switch contact. In the switched-on position, the contact rod and control rod are in a dead-point position. A particularly simple construction and the capability for driving a plurality of switching tubes synchronously result from a fixed-position longitudinal guide and a lateral guide. The ends of the control rod are supported in these guides. A plurality of longitudinal guides are required for a plurality of switching tubes.
