<p>The holder supports a flat tool in a lathe etc., having a housing in the form of a rectangular block with a shallow recess along one side for the whole length into which the tool is clamped. A second recess (9,10) is formed in the housing (7) running for its whole length, joined to the shallow one (8) and extending nearly to the opposite side, so as to divide the housing into top and bottom parts joined by a relatively narrow portion. This housing is mounted inside a second one (11) fixed to the lathe and between two portions (13,14) forming a recess and extending from its rear part (12). Set bolts are provided (15) in the second housing for securing the first one in position and for pressing its top and bottom parts towards each other.</p> |
