The plate (1) depicted schematically in Fig. 1 comprises a metal sheet in which circular shallow corrugated impressions (3) are formed at a spacing (2), each surrounding cap-like raised portions (4) and allowing the plate (1) to be held in a manner which prevents slip and permits deep drawing. Once this plate (1) has been clamped, the cap-like depressions (5) are formed by deep drawing, the metal sheet (1) thus having alternate adjacent raised portions (4) and depressions (5). <IMAGE>
