PURPOSE:To obtain the titled printer, wherein the width direction of a ribbon is divided into regions having different colors, the running direction of the ink ribbon is titled with respect to the line of transferring means under a specified state, which is characterized by low cost and the fast printing speed, and whose maintenance is not required. CONSTITUTION:The ink ribbon 1 is formed by the regions of three colors, which are extended in the longitudinal direction, i.e. 1C (cyan), 1M (magenta), and 1Y (yellow). As for recording heads, three lines of recording heads 2C (for cyan), 2M (for magneta), and 2Y (for yellow) are aligned on a head chip 2. Minute heating regions are aligned in each recording head. When 2/3p<w<2p is satisfied, the recording heads 2C, 2M, and 2Y face only regions 1C 1M, and 1Y, on the ink ribbon, respectively, at an angle theta in the range of sintheta<w/l, regardless of the running of the ink roller 1. Each head is not squeezed-out into another color region. |
