PURPOSE:To minimize the weight and improve the resistivity against abrasion in a captioned pulley by arranging short fiber along a plane crossing the central axis of the pulley and in parallel with a belt contact face on the periphery of the pulley near the periphery of the pulley. CONSTITUTION:For constructing a pulley periphery part 3 containing a belt groove 1, a fused alloy containing about 10-50mm. long carbon fiber or alumina short fiber is thrown into a mold to shape a pulley in parallel with the shaft of the pulley from a pulley side 5, and simultaneously, a fused alloy containing long fiber 8 is thrown into the same mold from a side 13 of a boss part 6 in the center of the pulley for manufacturing the pulley made of FRP. In this construction, fibers are on a plane crossing the central axis of the pulley in the periphery part 3 of the pulley, and arranged along the thread and the bottom of the belt groove 1 at right angles to the circumferential direction of the groove. |
