An aperture calculator is described for an electronic flash unit having selectable automatically or manually adjustable light output, in which to achieve a clear arrangement and to allow fault-free operation, a movable scale carrier (8), which is present anyway, also acts as means for manually setting the flash unit to different power outputs.
