<p>1. A tool for opening oysters or other similar molluscs with bivalve shells, comprising a handle (1) provided at its end with a working head (2) including a means for spreading apart the valves and a means for dividing up the holding muscle of the valves, said toll being characterized in that the handle (1) has an elongated shape, in that the means for spreading apart the valves is a fixed means for dislocating and spreading apart the valves by the hinged portion of the shell, consisting of a lengthening piece (3) including a base (3A ) fixed in the handle and a free portion (3B ) having a tapering and pointed end (3C ), and in that the means for dividing up the muscle is a mobile element with longitudinal displacement consisting of a cutting means (5), such as a blade, which may be retracted into the handle and slides on a plane passing to a level situated between that of the base (3A ) of the lengthening piece and that of its end (3C ).</p> |
