The device for connecting hollow profiles or pipes which are abutting against one another has a sleeve which on its end sides supports tongue-shaped projections, which rest on the inner surface of the profiles or pipes to be connected, and pins, which engage in corresponding circular expansions of grooves which are cut into the outer envelope surface of the profiles or pipes to be connected and into strips which are arranged on the inner envelope surface, the sleeve being additionally connected and secured to the profiles or pipes to be connected via bent spring wires.
