RESIN TEMPERATURE CONTROL OF PLASTIC MOLDING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To enable an accurate temperature control by measuring the temperature of melted resin in a cylinder with a temperature measuring element inserted into a temperature measuring hole being provided piercing through a cylinder wall of a melt molding machine. CONSTITUTION:A temperature measuring hole 9 is cut at a specified temperature measuring position in a cylinder 2 of an extruder piercing the cylinder 2 and a temperature measuring element 10 such as thermocouple is inserted so deep thereinto 9 that the tip of the element comes in direct contact with resin in the cylinder 2. Here, the tip of the temperature measuring element 10 forms such an identical surface as to match the inner surface of the cylinder 2 thereby preventing disturbance in the flow of a melted resin as much as possible near the opening of the temperature measuring hole 9. Dimensions and the shape of the temperature measuring hole 9 are made to match those of the temperature measuring element 10 to check the infiltration of the melted resin into the temperature measuring hole 9. The clearance between the temperature measuring hole 9 and the temperature measuring element 10 may be sealed up with a sealing member or the like to prevent the infiltration of the melted resin.
