The heat exchanger consists of a primary circuit having ribbed tubing which is helically wound in the form of a screw and has an intake and an outlet, a housing accommodating the tube helix and made from two concentric tubes having sealing covers on the end faces for the inlets and outlets of the carrier media, and a secondary circuit having a flow channel formed by a partition strip that is helically wound in the form of a screw in a manner coaxial with the tube helix, the width of the partition strip corresponding approximately to the cylindrical annular gap between the tubes and the partition helix being screwed into the tube helix. This results in a design for a heat exchanger that is particularly favourable from the point of view both of heat engineering and of production and assembly engineering.
