A wall plug socket is proposed, having a base which is recessed in the wall and holds the live conductors, and having a mounting which can be secured on the base and holds the plug, in which socket a base plate can be secured on the base, which base plate essentially covers the live conductors when the mounting is removed from the socket in order that said live conductors are protected against being touched when the mounting is removed.
