The invention relates to a Doppler radar of two essentially identically shaped cavity resonators, in which an oscillator diode (9) is arranged in the first cavity resonator (1) and two receiving diodes (10, 20) are arranged on the longest centre axis of the cavity resonator at a distance of lambda /4 in the second cavity resonator (2), and two height-adjustable metal pins (11, 21) for power control and balancing are arranged symmetrically with respect to this centre axis. The first cavity resonator (1) is closed and the second cavity resonator (2) is constructed to be opened at one end face. In the connecting wall common to the two cavity resonators (1, 2), a hole (8) is applied into which a thin-walled diaphragm insert (28) provided with an aperture (4) is inserted. The Doppler radar according to the invention can be used as motion detector, direction-of-movement detector, door opener or as traffic-signal control. <IMAGE>
