The invention relates to a packing piece (2) for mass-produced, prefabricated, sealing cable bushings which have a box-shaped frame which if required is split into a plurality of fields, elastic packing pieces (2) like modules inserted therein and having recesses (10) for the passage of cables, a clamping device for clamping the packing pieces (2) together in the direction of a major axis of the frame plane, a sealing packing which can be clamped together vertically with respect to the frame plane in order to close the residual cross-section of the relevant frame field left free by the clamping device, and anchoring plates which are inserted between the individual layers of the packing pieces (2). The packing piece (2) according to the invention is of board-shaped construction with a plurality of recesses (10), lying side-by-side, for the cables to pass through. In one preferred embodiment, its width (a) corresponds to that of the relevant frame field, and the board (4) is split by cuts (12) originating from one board side (8) into sections (16) like modules in such a manner that the remaining webs (14) form hinges and, if required, can easily be separated. <IMAGE>
