The invention relates to a radial piston compressor with pistons (4) capable of performing a reciprocating movement in the piston chambers (3) of a cylinder block (2), rotatably mounted on a fixed axis (1). The radial movement of the piston (4) is controlled by a rotatable guide section (7), arranged with its axis of rotation eccentric to the axis of rotation of the cylinder block (2). The cylinder block (2) is coupled to the external rotor (10) of a drive motor (11). Oil is introduced into the gap existing between the cylinder block (2) and the fixed axis (1) for the purpose of sealing this gap. In order to catch and to clean the oil issuing from the gap and dripping off the cylinder block (2), a bell (35) at least partially covering the cylinder block (2) is connected to the external rotor (10), the wall of which bell runs somewhat outwards at an incline towards the open end of the bell (35). <IMAGE>
