PURPOSE:To enable to obtain electric power from a stationary body, by fixing a vertical shaft type generator to the top of the stationary body of a tower in the manner that it is not turned together with a nacelle. CONSTITUTION:A generator 11 is fixed to the top of a stationary body of a tower 3. In detail, an annular rotatable support 2 is disposed at the top of the tower 3, and the generator 11 is extended through the inside of the annular support 2 and fixed to the tower 3 in an immovable manner. Here, the generator 11 is of a vertical shaft type and a gear 10 is fixed to the top of a turning shaft of the generator 11. The gear 10 is coupled operatively to an over-drive gear means 9. The mechanism for coupling the generator 11 with the over-drive gear means 9 can be gears or other means such as a chain or a belt that is capable of converting rotation of a propeller turning shaft 5 into rotation of a vertical shaft. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to obtain electric power from a stationary body. |
