The cylindrical magazine is hollow on the inside, and permits helical sliding (18) of the cartridges (19), by means of spring, or compressed air, or hydraulic, or belt systems. It can be fitted to various types of weapons, and can be designed to contain cartridges of any bore. Whether it is integral with the weapon, or is used as a separate component, it can always be easily and quickly replaced. It provides a very high level of autonomy of firing, which is 10 to 50 times greater than the present level. Depending on the application, the cylindrical magazine eliminates or reduces substantially the factor of overturning the weapon to which it is fitted. <IMAGE>
