PURPOSE:To eliminate a shock due to the generation of an engine torque when the fuel cut is stopped by a method wherein a fuel cut returning revolving number is set at a high revolution, in the fuel cut control system for the engine of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:The fuel cut control device has the fuel cut function to stop the fuel injection from an injector upon decelerating the engine. When the changing rate DELTANe of the engine revolution is larger than X1 or the engine revolution is decreased suddenly, and when the changing rate DELTANe of the same is smaller than X2 or the decrease of the revolving number of the engine is few, the revolving number upon stopping the fuel cut control is set at a high level of 1,400rpm in which the shock is small. Thus, the shock upon stopping the fuel cut may be eliminated. |
